Ordered the cd and the vinyl LP as the Sony PS-X600 turntable has come back from the depths of the basement. The table still works after about 15 years of storage. It’s just been cleaned up this week. I’ve had to use some plastic polish on the lid as there were a lot of scratches. The biotracer arm was a work of incredible design and implementation by Sony. Thankfully it seems to be working. I needed a new stylus for the Shure V15 IV and it’s on the way from.

As for the wait for some new music from Sade, it’s finally almost over. More later after I get the CD/LP.

The CD has arrived, but no LP as of yet. The new stylus is here and it works fantastically.

This PHOTOWORKSHOP book is like the others of the series, excellent.

The author (Deborah Sandidge) has a firm grasp of IR technology and techniques. The use of HDR with IR cameras is a great idea. There are many more creative idea’s in this book to explore. Little text on Adobe Lightroom, but lots of other content. The Photoshop examples are plentiful and useful.

This reasonably priced book covered the 50D very well. It helped bring me up to speed on the 50D verses my previous 30D.

It covered all the new settings and live view. I finally feel comfortable with the 50D. There is enough detail in the book for the beginner.

The advanced photographer will be able to gloss over a few chapters, but there are enough gems here to make the purchase worthwhile.
